Healthy Black Bean Soup Recipe


Ingredients Need:

    1 tablespoon canola oil
    * 1 small onion, chopped
    1 tablespoon chile powder
    1 tablespoon cumin *
    * 2 15-ounce cans black beans, rinsed
    * 3 cups water
    * ½ cup of the preparation of sauces, can be homemade or store bought
    * ¼ teaspoon salt
    1 tablespoon lemon juice
    * 4 tablespoons sour cream, low fat choice (optional)
    2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro (optional)

Preparation:

Heat the canola oil. oil in a medium saucepan. Then add the chopped onion. Cook until translucent about 2-3 minutes. Add the Chile powder and cumin and cook for 1 minute.Add beans, salsa, water and salt. Bring to a boil then reduce heat then simmer for about 10 minutes.Remove from heat and add the lemon juice then add. Pour half the mixture to a blender and puree. After Achieving a smooth creamy texture, pour the mixture back into remaining granules. Server with sour cream and cilantro if desired.

Black bean soup is very easy to make and can be prepared by anyone at home. Only do so with caution, as pureeing hot liquids may be harmful if not done correctly. Enjoy this dish at any time and keep your body healthy.
