Seven Layer Salad Recipe

Again, this recipe is for the classic version of the seven-layer salad. To get it just to your liking, you may want to add one or more of the following ingredients: mushrooms, bacon, chopped ham, Parmesan cheese, green pepper, celery, etc.

instructions:

1. Wash and cut lettuce. Place lettuce in a large bowl for the first layer.

2. Cut the boiled eggs. Layer on lettuce (you may want to sprinkle a little salt and pepper on eggs).

3. Layer then frozen peas on the eggs.

4. Place red onion in peas completely.

5. The next layer will be added diced tomatoes.
7. In a separate bowl, mix the mayonnaise and sugar. Carefully spoon this over the cheese topping. Be sure to cover the entire top of the salad.

8. Cover bowl tightly with plastic wrap or cover and refrigerate overnight.

9. Just before serving, toss the salad and sprinkle with additional toppings or spices.

One of the best things I like about this recipe is that seven layer salad can be prepared in advance, and it will still taste fresh when you serve. The combination of the classic ingredients that make this dish a big hit at your next office party or family gathering.
